The Following Soundtracks are available @

Metal Gear Solid 3

This two-disc OST covers all the tracks from the main game and then some. Included as bonuses are two sets of “healing tracks,” relaxing Sixties-style songs at the end of each disc that can only be found in the game through special means. The most memorable of these is Starry.K’s track Old Metal Gear, which takes the classic Metal Gear theme and reworks it into a cool surf tune. Starry.K also has two other bonus tracks, Sailor and Pillow Talk, along with 66 Boys’ Surfing Guitar, Salty Catfish and Rock Me Baby, plus Chunk Raspberry’s Jumpin’ Johnny and Sergei Mantis’ Sea Breeze. In addition to the healing tracks, the theme from the Snake vs. Monkey mini game is included. Whoever came up with the idea of pitting Snake against the crazy monkeys of Ape Escape is a genius.

Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner

Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner is the third game in the Digital Devil Saga series, an offshoot of the wildly popular, manly Japanese-only Shin Megami Tensei role-playing franchise. This is the series’ first foray onto consoles since its predecessor, Soul Hackers, and the two could not be more different musically. Where Soul Hackers (and nearly ALL SMT titles, for that matter) had emotionally charged tracks that influenced the player’s mood heavily, AT’s music, for the most part, left me bored.

Katamari fortissimo Damashii

Katamari Damacy showed up silently in game stores with almost no propaganda whatsoever and quickly became a cult hit through word of mouth alone. Darling of the online gaming forums, this $20 budget title has become a phenomenon the likes of which I have honestly never seen before. As soon as I heard of it, I went out in search of this wonderful little gem and, to my surprise, it was sold out everywhere I went. A few days later I found a copy, took it home, and became instantly addicted.

Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 Premium Arrange

This disc is another arranged soundtrack that features arrangements by various famous game music composers in Japan. The music here is form Phantasy Star online ands features some pretty nifty tracks. The opening track "The Whole New World" arranged by Motoi Sakuraba  is probably the standout track. It jumps from the soft melody to full blown progressive rock goodness.  Another standout track "The Frenzy Wilds" arranged Manabu Namiki contains his trademark techno sound and riffs. The final track I'll mention here is Yuri Hirauma's eclectic arrangement  of "Absymal ball" a very in interesting piece that incoprates elctronis and voice.  An interesting aspect of this disc is that while WaveMaster has many amazing composer they are hardly house hold names, so it is nice to see so many famous composers participating on this project.   7.5/10

Psyviaria 2

In the same vein of the classic Zuntata sound the composers of
Psyviaria 2 have crafted an elegant and highly listenable soundtrack. The standout here is Testuro Sato who has whipped some brilliant futuristic techno sounds with peppy piano leads. The entire disc is fun  and  is definitely a must by for game music fans.

Bio Hazard Outbreak

How many Bio Hazard discs are there? 10? Well the series of the living versus the dead keeps going and for the most part I have loved the music (Code Veronica being my favorite). In this entry, Bio Hazard Outbreak the big attraction is Japanese composer Akihiko Matsumoto contributing seven tracks to this disc. First i must say that while the "Main Title" theme sounds li9ke Christopher Young ( a good thing) it is probably the prettiest title to be featured in this horror series. It is beautiful and sweeping while evoking and eerie sense of calm. The rest of is also quite enjoyable in a dark eerie way. The remainder of the disc is typical CAPCOM horror music that this time seems a bit stale after all this time. I say that while the music seems stale it is effective and does the job, but if not for the music of Akihiko Matsumoto this disc would be for die hard Bio Hazard game
music fans only.

Shadow Hearts 2

If you already own the original Shadow Hearts soundtrack/game and enjoyed what you’ve heard, why deny yourself of a second chance to experience this type of original VGM? It is readily available at most online stores, so do yourself a favor and purchase it. Yoshitaka Hirota, Yasunori Mitsuda, Kenji Ito and Tomoko Kobayashi will be glad you did. They deserve the recognition for creating this inspired, bizarre, yet enjoyable aural masterpiece.
